Description
Français : Les travaux du mois de juillet représentent la moisson et la tonte des moutons. Deux personnages fauchent les blés à l'aide d'un volant et d'une baguette. Un volant est une longue faucille ouverte dont le manche fait angle avec le plat de la lame. À l'aide de la baguette, ils dégagent un paquet de tiges qu'ils coupent en lançant le volant. Les moissonneurs avancent de l'extérieur de la parcelle en se dirigeant vers son centre en tournant. L'un d'entre eux porte une pierre à aiguiser à la ceinture. Deux autres personnages, dont une femme, coupent la laine des moutons à l'aide de forces. Exception faite des montagnes imaginaires, le paysage représente, au premier plan, la rivière Boivre se jetant dans le Clain, à proximité du palais comtal de Poitiers.
